The Beauty of Letting go in the Waiting
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The jeweled toned assortment of color is breath taking as it speaks to the beauty of transformation. The gracefulness of the leaves falling off the tree's signals change and new beginnings. There is a beauty in letting go in the waiting. What seems like a loss to the tree, is actually a vital part of the tree’s survival and regeneration. Each new stage brings with it a period of waiting and anticipation. A process of change, surrender and trusting in the God who loves us.
The verse from Micah 7:7 says, “But as for me, I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.” Letting go is not giving up. In the face of difficult or uncertain times, we can pray and trust the Lord. Even in the waiting we can be confident that God hears us and is working.
